CONCRETE MIXERS

The main function of concrete mixers is to mix concrete with water, cement and aggregates during the preparation for pouring the mixture. To work, they use a rotating drum, a motor and a chute to evenly mix the individual components. The materials rotate in the drum, and must remain soft for the application of the concrete.

Concrete mixers come in various sizes and can be stationary or portable. Depending on their mode of operation, they are powered by electricity.

Main types of mixers for construction mixtures

As already mentioned, concrete mixers are divided into two types: mobile and stationary.

The former are characterized by ease of use and easy and convenient transportation from one job site to another. They are often used for small construction projects and are usually powered by electricity. Mobile concrete mixers allow the user to control the amount of material to be mixed and subsequently poured. They also provide the possibility of adding additional concrete to the mixture. Another distinctive feature of them is that they mix the materials without the need to add more water.

Stationary concrete mixers, on the other hand, also provide stability when pouring concrete, but are not as mobile as portable models. They are used to mix and move large volumes of concrete to a given construction site. They are also divided into several subspecies: twin-shaft, vertical-axis concrete mixers, and drum concrete mixers.

Twin-shaft models are characterized by high mixing intensity and a short period required for dosing the mixture. They are most often used for mixing high-strength concrete. This type of concrete mixer has high mixing efficiency, long service life, a wide range of applications, as well as minimal risk of damage. Last but not least, twin-shaft models can work together with other devices or independently. They can be combined with a machine for dosing inert materials, such as a block maker, a palletizer, etc.

Vertical axis mixers are suitable for mixing large quantities of concrete and use a vertical drum to function. This type of concrete mixer is compact, low noise and consumes relatively little energy. They are widely used in the production of concrete walls and bridge frames, refractories, ceramics, etc.

Drum mixers, on the other hand, are characterized by high production speed, easy maintenance, and the ability to mix large quantities of concrete. They are divided into several subtypes based on the type of drum they have - non-rotating, reversible, or tilting.

Concrete mixers from the “Valerii” website

On the "Valerii" website you will find a high-quality selection of concrete mixers.

The Premium concrete mixer is a suitable tool for use by both amateurs and professionals. The electric concrete mixer is characterized by transport wheels and a comfortable handle. This allows the mixer to be placed as close as possible to the casting site. It is distinguished by its durability, efficiency and compactness. The latter makes it easy to move and store.
